@DeveloperMemes honestly if I'm already with my text editor/IDE open, it's just easier to add print statements than opening gdb or whatever

@normandy @DeveloperMemes print statements always work the same. OTOH, debugger really depends on the environment. When coding a simple program in Java using Eclipse, it's usually two clicks (or keyboard shortcuts) to set a breakpoint and start debugging, and the debugger is very comfy. When coding in C, gdb is less convenient. When coding in python with nano, or wiring a kernel module, there's just no debugger.
